Revise: Impact of the DepressionNazi propaganda also falsely blamed Jewish people for Germany’s problems. This antisemitic scapegoating offered a supposed enemy to blame rather than a truthful explanation of the economic crisis. Nazi hostility to communists and to the politicians associated with Versailles similarly helped present Hitler as someone who would defeat Germany’s alleged enemies.
