Revise: Composition, Weapons and Armour of the Macedonian ArmyInfantry equipment could include a helmet, a cuirass protecting the torso and greaves protecting the lower legs. A Phrygian-style helmet with cheekpieces provided protection while allowing better hearing and visibility than the older, more enclosing Corinthian helmet. A linen cuirass offered body protection without the weight of a solid metal breastplate.
