Revise: Military AspectsWilliam’s army combined archers, infantry and cavalry. Archers could attack from a distance; infantry could engage the enemy directly; mounted knights could charge, reposition and pursue fleeing opponents. Coordinating these different troops is called combined-arms tactics.
