An expression of devotion, honour and praise to God, individually or with others.
Revise: Forms of WorshipFor Christians, worship means expressing devotion, honour and praise to God. It makes inward faith outwardly visible: believers may sing, listen to the Bible, pray, reflect silently or take part in religious ceremonies. Christians believe that God wants them to worship him and that worship strengthens their relationship with him.

Revise: Gender Equality in ChristianityThis disagreement concerns both worship and religious authority. Joining in prayer or singing is different from being authorised to teach a congregation, lead services as a priest or oversee churches as a bishop. Some Christians believe these leadership roles should be open equally to women and men.
Showing love, reverence and devotion to God, for example through prayer, singing or reflection on scripture.
When comparing forms of worship, explain a specific contrast: set words and responses in liturgical worship versus greater freedom over words and order in non-liturgical worship.
Private worship is not necessarily informal: a Christian can use set prayers when worshipping alone.
Use qualified denominational examples. Christians within the same denomination do not necessarily worship in exactly the same way.
