Paper 2
Worship that follows an established order of service, usually including set prayers, readings and responses.
Revise: Forms of WorshipLiturgical worship follows an established order of service. A priest or minister usually leads the congregation through Bible readings, prayers, responses and other actions. Catholic Mass is an example, and many Anglican services use texts from Common Worship or the Book of Common Prayer.
When comparing forms of worship, explain a specific contrast: set words and responses in liturgical worship versus greater freedom over words and order in non-liturgical worship.
