Balanced forces are forces on one object that combine to give a resultant force of zero.
Forces whose vector sum is zero, so they produce no acceleration.
Do not conclude that balanced forces mean the object is stationary. It may be moving at constant velocity in a straight line.
For balanced forces, arrows in opposite directions must represent equal forces, so draw them with equal lengths.
Do not call two balanced forces on one object a Newton's third-law pair. Third-law forces act on different objects.
