Revise: Resolved Forces and EquilibriumFor a car-and-trailer system, the pull between the car and trailer is internal to the system; the relevant external forces include the driving force from the road, resistive forces, weight and support forces. If the trailer alone is chosen instead, the car's pull on the trailer is an external force and must be included.
