Revise: Types of training methodsHigh-intensity interval training (HIIT) follows the same work–recovery pattern, but its work periods are performed at very high intensity, often near-maximal effort. Recovery may be rest or low-intensity exercise. The defining difference is the high intensity of the work, not a single compulsory exercise or timing pattern.
