Revise: The Great Depression and Nazi Electoral Success (1929–1933)This began a period of presidential cabinets: governments dependent more on Hindenburg than on a parliamentary majority. Frequent emergency decrees and political deadlock made parliamentary government appear ineffective. The crisis was therefore economic, social and political at the same time.
