Revise: GreecePhidias’s statue of Athena Parthenos, installed in 438 BC, was chryselephantine: made using gold and ivory. Athena stood armed, with a small figure of Nike, the goddess of Victory, on her outstretched right hand and her left hand resting on her shield.
