Revise: Choosing SuppliersA supplier is a business that provides goods or services to another business. A restaurant buys ingredients from suppliers; a car manufacturer buys components such as tyres. The choice affects what the business can offer its own customers, how much it costs to operate and whether it can fulfil orders on time.

Revise: Business StakeholdersSuppliers could receive larger orders, increasing their sales. However, they would still need the café to pay its bills on time.

Revise: Internal and External StakeholdersFor example, a supplier’s role is to provide goods or services, while its objectives include receiving regular orders and being paid on time.
Develop a chain of reasoning: lower supplier price → lower costs → scope to reduce selling prices or increase profit, depending on the business’s decision.
Do not assume the cheapest supplier offers the best value, or that a higher price guarantees better quality.
Distinguish the price of the supplies from the cost of delivering them. Both affect the total cost of a supplier decision.
