Paper 1, Paper 2
A deliberate refusal to buy a business's products in order to put pressure on it to change.
Revise: Influence of Stakeholders on BusinessCustomers can also organise a boycott, deliberately refusing to buy products to pressure a business to change its behaviour. A boycott linked to harmful business practices may reduce revenue and damage reputation. This can encourage the business to change how it operates, although the effect depends on how many customers participate.
A collective refusal to buy from a business in order to protest against its behaviour.
