Quantitative data that can take only particular values on a numerical scale, such as numbers of pets or shoe sizes.
Revise: Statistical data terminologyDiscrete data can take only particular values. The number of flowers in a bouquet can be 8 or 9, but not 8.4. Counts are usually whole numbers, although discrete values do not have to be: shoe sizes include half sizes, but not every possible value between them.
- Revise: Graphical data representation
Numerical data with distinct possible values, such as the number of pets a person owns.
