Revise: Statistical data terminologyIf we instead report that two households have fewer than two pets and three households have two or more pets, we have grouped data. The observations have been combined into categories, with a frequency showing how many belong to each. Grouping describes the presentation of the data; it does not change what the original variable measures.
- Revise: Data grouping implications
Data summarised in categories or numerical intervals, usually with the frequency of each group.
