The revelation given by Allah to Dawud, associated with the Psalms and containing prayers and songs of praise.

The five named holy books are the Qur’an, Tawrat, Zabur, Injil and Sahifah. Together, they show that guidance did not begin with Muhammad. Earlier prophets also taught people about Allah and how to live.

The scripture given by Allah to Dawud, also known as the Psalms.

Use Qur’anic references to support a point: Surah 2:251 links Dawud with victory, kingship and wisdom; Surah 17:55 identifies the Zabur as Allah’s gift to him.

Match each scripture to its prophet: Tawrat—Musa; Zabur—Dawud; Injil—Isa; Sahifah—Ibrahim; Qur’an—Muhammad.

The revelation Muslims believe Allah gave to Dawud (David), associated with the Psalms.

The Zabur was revealed to Dawud (David) and is associated with the Psalms. It contains poetic prayers praising Allah. It therefore illustrates how holy books can guide worship and express devotion, as well as provide laws.

The Zabur was revealed to Dawud and is associated with prayers and songs of praise to Allah. The Qur’an states, ‘We gave Dawud the Zabur’ (Qur’an 4:163). Its recognition in the Qur’an supports its status as an earlier holy revelation.
