The collection of rabbinic teachings and discussions interpreting Jewish law, made up of the Mishnah and Gemara; a central record of the oral law.
Revise: Tenakh and TalmudThe Tenakh and Talmud help Jews understand their relationship with God and how to live. They are connected, but they are not interchangeable. The Tenakh contains Jewish sacred scriptures and is described as the written law.

Keep the relationship clear: the Torah is part of the Tenakh; the Mishnah and Gemara make up the Talmud.
‘Oral law’ describes how teachings were originally transmitted. It does not mean that the Talmud remains unwritten.
