Revise: Liturgical WorshipIn Lumen Gentium, the Church teaches that celebrating Christ’s sacrifice on the altar carries on the work of redemption. The Mass therefore connects worshippers with Christ’s saving death and with the life he gives to his Church.
Use Lumen Gentium paragraph 7 for Eucharistic communion and the Church as Christ’s Body. Paragraph 11 describes the Eucharistic sacrifice as the ‘fount and apex’ of Christian life, expressing ‘source and summit’.
