Revise: Cooper and Mackie (1986): Video Games and AggressionThe setting and tasks limit ecological validity. A short assigned gaming session followed by toy play differs from choosing and playing games naturally at home. Covert recording reduced the chance that children deliberately changed their toy play because they knew it was being measured, but did not make the whole setting natural.
