Revise: Maintaining hydrationDehydration can also bring on muscle fatigue more quickly and cause cramps. Fatigue reduces the muscles’ ability to maintain effort; a cramp is a sudden, involuntary contraction that can interrupt movement. A cyclist with leg cramps, for example, may struggle to keep pedalling, while a thrower may be unable to perform a powerful, controlled movement.
