Revise: Statistical Charts for Categorical DataFor each category, place the groups' bars side by side and distinguish them using consistent colours or shading and a key. Keep one common frequency scale so that their heights can be compared fairly.

Revise: Data MisrepresentationIn a pictogram, the key is essential. Four symbols could mean 4 people, 20 people or 400 people depending on the value of one symbol. If half-symbols are used, the key is also needed to determine their value.
Always read a pictogram key before counting symbols, and include the value of any partial symbol.
Read the title, axes, units, scale and key before describing what a graph shows.
