Revise: Women’s RightsIn 1897, Millicent Fawcett brought campaigning groups together in the National Union of Women’s Suffrage Societies (NUWSS). Its members became known as suffragists. They used lawful, non-violent methods: distributing leaflets, holding meetings and marches, and persuading MPs from different parties to support their cause.
