Revise: Jahangir and Nur JahanJahangir succeeded his father Akbar in 1605 and ruled until 1627. He inherited a powerful empire and an established system of government. Much of this administrative machinery remained in place, so his reign combined continuity with struggles over who would control imperial power.
Evaluate influence using evidence of power: Nur Jahan’s name on coins and imperial orders is stronger evidence than simply saying Jahangir loved her.
