Revise: Jahangir and Nur JahanCoins were struck in her name, and her name appeared alongside Jahangir’s on imperial orders, known as farmans. These were instruments of government, not merely personal honours. They show that her influence extended into the exercise of imperial power, although Jahangir remained emperor.
