Paper 2
Revise: Key Factors and QuestionsThe whole study connects five questions: how conquest, settlement and migration affected Britain; why people moved to and from Britain; why Britain gained and lost an empire and with what effects; how people responded to interaction; and how individuals and events shaped empire and British identity. These are connected questions, but each asks for a different explanation. A strong historical judgement identifies the particular outcome, uses evidence to explain it, and weighs the factors that mattered in that context.
