A network of routes linking North and South Vietnam, including routes through Laos and Cambodia, used to move troops, weapons and supplies to communist forces in the South.
Revise: Significance of AsiaThe Ho Chi Minh Trail carried weapons and supplies from the North towards the South. In 1960, the National Liberation Front, commonly called the Vietcong, was established. It included communist supporters and South Vietnamese peasants opposed to the government.
