Revise: The Women's Movement and LGBTQ+ RightsBy 1974, feminism had secured important changes in law and enforcement and had made discrimination more visible. Nevertheless, legislation and court rulings did not automatically eliminate unequal opportunities or social expectations. Its impact was substantial but incomplete.
When judging the impact of feminism, consider both its legal achievements and its limitations, including continuing discrimination and disagreement among women.
