Cabinet War Rooms

The Cabinet War Rooms beneath Whitehall provided secret, protected accommodation for the War Cabinet, military chiefs, intelligence services and civil servants. The Map Room brought together information needed to follow the war’s progress. This allowed leaders to coordinate decisions while bombing threatened the streets and buildings above them.
