Revise: Indian WarsThe 1868 Fort Laramie Treaty established a Sioux reservation and protected the Black Hills. Red Cloud’s resistance had achieved its central aim: the removal of the military posts and the closure of the route through the hunting grounds.
Keep the wars distinct: Little Crow’s War concerned starvation and reservation conditions; Red Cloud’s War concerned the Bozeman Trail; the Great Sioux War concerned the Black Hills and enforced return to reservations.
