Revise: Polycrates' Rise to Power and Public WorksAn aqueduct carried water from an abundant spring to the city. Its designer was Eupalinos, son of Naustrophos, from Megara. The remarkable feature was a tunnel through a mountain, allowing the water supply to pass through the obstacle rather than simply following a surface route around it.
