Revise: Improvement strategiesUrban regeneration means investing in an area to reverse this decline. It can involve repairing existing buildings, redeveloping former industrial land, creating homes and improving transport, services and employment opportunities. It is therefore more than making a place look tidier: the aim is to improve how it functions and the lives of people who use it.
