Revise: Thermoforming PolymersExpanded polystyrene (EPS) is a foam used for protective packaging, swimming floats, insulation and bean-bag filling. Its low weight is useful for packaging because the protective material adds relatively little to the weight being transported. Its buoyancy makes it useful for floats, while its thermal insulation helps reduce heat transfer.
