Closed-cell structure

Styrofoam™ insulation boards are lightweight and can be cut and shaped. Their closed-cell structure contains enclosed gas pockets, helping reduce heat transfer and resist water absorption. These two properties work together: insulation used around building foundations needs to reduce heat loss while remaining effective in damp conditions.
