Revise: Types of BoardFolding boxboard has three main layers. Its coated, bleached top layer provides a smooth white surface for printing. An unbleached pulp layer forms the middle, while the inside layer can be bleached white or unbleached grey.
A carton board suitable for printing, creasing, folding and gluing into lightweight retail packaging.
Distinguish folding boxboard’s flat pulp layers from corrugated board’s fluted layer.
Include a relevant disadvantage when comparing materials: solid white board is stronger than folding boxboard, but more expensive.
