Revise: Types of BoardBoard thickness is measured in microns, written μm. There are 1000 μm in 1 mm. Thickness alone does not tell you how a board will perform: its internal structure and surface finish also matter.
Distinguish sheet size, grammage and thickness: A4 describes size, gsm describes mass per square metre, and microns describe thickness.
Distinguish gsm, which measures mass per unit area, from microns, which measure thickness. A higher gsm does not automatically mean a thicker sheet.
