Forming a controlled fold line in board so that it folds accurately without cracking.
Used by Edexcel and Eduqas
Specification 3.2.2 · Paper 1
Component 1
Indenting paper or board along an intended fold line so that it bends accurately with less cracking.
Creasing makes an indentation along the intended fold line, helping the board bend there rather than bend unpredictably or crack its printed surface. Cutting and creasing rules can be incorporated into the same commercial die, although the cutting rules cut through the sheet and the creasing rules do not.
