Revise: Identifying Common ErrorsA syntax error breaks the grammatical rules of the language. The language cannot correctly interpret the affected code, so it cannot run as written. A logic error is a mistake in what the instructions do.
An error that breaks the grammatical rules of a programming language, preventing the affected code from being run or translated.
A misspelt variable or function name is not automatically a syntax error. It may obey the language’s grammar but cause an error when executed.
For a syntax error, state which grammatical rule is broken and give the precise correction.
Judge code using the rules of the stated language. In Python, == is a valid comparison operator; using it where assignment was intended is not automatically a syntax error.
