Paper 2
The position of an item in a data structure such as an array or list. In zero-based indexing, the first item has index 0.
A number identifying a character's position within a sequence. Python string indices start at 0.
For binary search, check that the data is sorted and follow the middle-index calculation in the supplied code. With an even number of items, different implementations may choose different middle items.
Distinguish an index from the value stored there: data[mid] is a value, whereas mid is its position.
Check the index order shown in the question before accessing a 2D array; do not assume the first index always represents a row.
