Revise: Hormones and Metabolic RateFor example, TSH travels from the pituitary gland to the thyroid gland and stimulates it to produce thyroxine.
Distinguish the glands: adrenal glands release adrenaline; the thyroid gland releases thyroxine; the pituitary gland releases TSH.
Keep the thyroxine control sequence clear: hypothalamus → TRH → pituitary → TSH → thyroid → thyroxine. Explain how normal thyroxine levels inhibit the earlier stages.
