Revise: The Nervous SystemA motor neurone has its cell body near one end, with a long axon extending towards an effector. Relay neurones are shorter and have branched connections within the CNS.
Link each adaptation to its function: a long axon carries impulses over long distances; the myelin sheath insulates the fibre and speeds up transmission.
