Revise: Effective RecruitmentEffective recruitment means finding people whose skills and experience fit the work a business needs done. A growing business might need more operational employees to serve customers, a supervisor to organise their work, or a senior manager to lead a new department. Recruiting the wrong person can disrupt work and mean spending time and money recruiting again.

Classify recruitment by who is appointed, not who recommends them. An existing employee recommending someone from outside the business is external recruitment.
Develop benefits through a chain of reasoning: suitable skills → fewer mistakes → less waste and lower costs, rather than simply saying recruitment increases profit.
When recommending a recruitment or selection method, consider the vacancy, available internal candidates, budget and urgency. Explain why your choice suits that business.
