Product design is more than making something look attractive. It includes what the product does, how well it works, how it appeals to customers and how cost-effectively it can be produced.

Product design is the process of developing a product’s features, how it works and its appearance, taking account of customer needs and production costs. Design is therefore about much more than making something look attractive.
