Revise: Process of photosynthesisThe raw materials, or reactants, are carbon dioxide and water. The main carbohydrate shown in the GCSE equation is glucose, and oxygen is also produced.
Write the substances in the correct direction: carbon dioxide and water are reactants; glucose and oxygen are products.
Place light over the reaction arrow or describe it as transferring energy. Do not put light on the left as though it were a chemical reactant.
Do not reverse the equations for photosynthesis and aerobic respiration. In photosynthesis, carbon dioxide and water are the reactants.
