Revise: Structure of the kidneyThe tubule then forms the loop of Henlé, which runs down into the medulla, bends, and rises again. After a further connecting section in the cortex, fluid enters a collecting duct. Collecting ducts pass through the medulla towards the renal pelvis, where urine is gathered before it flows into the ureter.
