Revise: Probability scale and likelihoodA probability measures how likely an event is to happen. An outcome is one possible result, such as rolling a 6 on a die. An event can contain one outcome or several: ‘rolling an even number’ includes 2, 4 and 6.

A number from 0 to 1 describing how likely an event is. It can be used as the expected proportion of outcomes belonging to that event.
