Ofsted

Ofsted, the Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills, inspects schools in England and publishes judgements about their provision. Inspection findings and league tables provide different kinds of information for parents. Funding linked to pupil numbers also gives schools an incentive to attract families.
