A prayer posture in which the forehead touches the ground, expressing humility and submission to Allah.

Revise: SalahIn prostration, the forehead and nose touch the ground, along with the hands, knees and toes. Muslims praise Allah as the Most High. This is a particularly strong expression of submission: the worshipper places themselves low while acknowledging Allah's greatness.
Explain the meaning of a practice, not just the action: prostration expresses submission to Allah, while facing the same direction expresses unity.
