Revise: Traditional Music in WorshipMusicam Sacram, paragraph 33, stresses both listening and participation. The response helps the people make the biblical prayer their own.
Use Musicam Sacram precisely: Gregorian chant has ‘pride of place’ in sung Latin liturgy, ‘other things being equal’. This is not a ban on other music.
