Revise: Traditional Music in WorshipGregorian chant is a traditional form of music associated with the Roman Catholic liturgy. It usually uses Latin sacred words sung to one unaccompanied melodic line. Singers follow the same melody rather than sing separate harmony parts.
Use Musicam Sacram precisely: Gregorian chant has ‘pride of place’ in sung Latin liturgy, ‘other things being equal’. This is not a ban on other music.
