Used by AQA and Eduqas
Paper 1
Revise: AngelsMika'il, also known as Michael, is associated with mercy and provision for creation. Islamic tradition gives him responsibility for rain and the nourishment that sustains life, including the growth of plants. He carries out these duties by Allah’s command: Allah remains the ultimate provider.
Paper 3
The angel placed in charge of plants and rain, associated with nourishment and the sustaining of life.
Revise: AngelsQur'an 2:98 names both Jibril and Mika'il alongside Allah's angels and messengers. It warns that Allah is the enemy of those who oppose them. Respecting these angels therefore matters because they serve Allah and communicate or fulfil his will.
Keep the named angels distinct: Jibril brings revelation; Mika'il is associated with mercy, rain and nourishment.
For a question about significance, explain why the role matters: Jibril brings guidance, Mika'il sustains life, and Israfil announces resurrection and accountability.
