Kshatriya

In the traditional Hindu social order, a Kshatriya belongs to the warrior and ruler class and has responsibilities of protection. Some Hindus therefore argue that refusing every conflict could mean failing to protect others or uphold righteousness. Arjuna's duty as a warrior in the Bhagavad Gita illustrates the tension between reluctance to cause harm and the responsibility to act.
